COMPANIES (AUDIT AND AUDITORS) SECOND AMENDMENT RULES, 2017

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued amendment rules dated 22nd June, 2017 called as Companies (Audit and Auditors) Second Amendment Rules, 2017.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 139 read with sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 469 of Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Companies (Audit and Auditors) Rules 2014, namely-
1. Short title and Commencement- (1) These rules may be called the Companies (Audit and Auditors) Second Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
(3) In the Companies (Audit and Auditors) Rules, 2014, in rule 5, in clause (b), for the word “twenty”, the word “fifty” shall be substituted.
